ARGOMENTO: Furgoncino Roadtrip to Svezia is on

Arriving in a really hot Palermo after an earlybird flight. Driving the Furgoncino for the first time. Thanks to Alessandro Costarelli Its a really cute car with the SIP original being the icing on the cake, anyone’s got a Ladder for the roofrack? As always an experience to driva an 18 hp car with minimal rear view mirrors in heavy city traffic…..our friend Alessandro and his lovely wife invited us for a dinner in Lovely Mondello by the sea. So nice and s wonderful experience! Tomorrow we Will take the Ferry to Livorno where the temperatures are a more resonable 30-ish. A day or Two on the beach then maybe Firenze and Verona heading north. If we are lucky a stop in Valgardena to meet Mr Nordkapp. This will be an adventure for sure! My lovely wife and partner-in-Crime is as positive as always. Will the old girl conquer the alps? (The car of course, not the wife) Come along on our Journey!

Now aboard Grimaldi Ferry to Livorno! Really crazy hot for us Swedish guys in Palermo. Interesting and vibrant city though, We Will be back for sure. Had some startproblems during loading but I discovered that the positive Lead to the battery was a bit loose, I hope that solves the problem. Now in Viareggio! After the ferry trip to Livorno and an overnight stay, we have now landed at Hotel Cilene in Viareggio. The car was a bit difficult to start on the ferry line and when unloading, but it started anyway. The unloading of vehicles was exciting, we northerners are used to staff keeping all motorists under the lord's chastisement and admonishment at on and off-boarding. That didn't happen here, anarchy blossomed and everyone shouted and honked, this despite the fact that there was only one way out from the lowest plane where all the small cars were gathered. Interesting experience. Short drive to Hotel Touring, a stone's throw from the center and Parking outside the lobby. We had a memory of a very nice little restaurant at Piazza Republica in Livorno from the previous Fiat turn, it was found and delivered fine-fine Pasta with vongole and a cold beer to go with it. A good night's sleep and walk with breakfast a'la Italia in the market on it. First real drive to Viareggio, no disasters yet. Tomorrow another test when we take on the Piaggio Museum in Pontedera. Last test before there are longer distances. Oh right! We will try to find that fantastic beach that we swam on the last turn. You just joint us!
